Heart diseases include many kinds of heart that affect your heart directly or indirectly. It claims maximum human lives all over the world. According a to survey report, in every half minute someone dies of heart disease in United States of America. There are few types of heart disorders. They are coronary artery disease where the walls of the artery carrying myocardium is blocked by atheromatous plaques, cardiomyopathy or disease in the heart muscle, and cardiovascular disease where the heart itself or arteries and veins to and from the heart is affected. Some other heart maladies are Ischaemic disease of heart where it supplies lesser amount of blood to the rest of the body, heart failure commonly known as congestive heart failure where heart is unable to perform its function of pumping blood resulting into its failure, hypertensive diseases caused by high blood pressure locally, inflammatory disease where the tissues or the muscles of or around the heart swells and valvular disease of heart where the one or multiple valves are affected. Patient may suffer from any of the above mentioned cardiac diseases, but the characterizing heart disease symptoms are shortness of breath, pain in chest and fatigue. Often palpitations and dizziness also mark the beginning of some heart related disorder. There can be many causes attributed to these diseases. Often some chronic diseases result into cardiac problems. Diabetes, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, excessive stress, smoking, alcohol intake, unhealthy food habit, lack of physical activities, high dose of drugs, oily food and even certain problematic occupational atmosphere can result into cardiac diseases. To prevent heart disease, you need to put control over these factors. It is very important to modify your current lifestyle it includes the aforementioned conditions. Once you fall prey to such disease you will need to put an abrupt end to all your favorite things like alcohol, rich food or cigarettes. So it is better to reduce the intake and stay healthy. If diagnosed at an early stage, your heart disease treatment will involve medication and a strict and disciplined lifestyle. Else, you may need to undergo major surgeries, installation of devices like pacemaker and in severe but rare cases, even heart transplantation. When a healthy way of living can save so much of pain as well financial expense, it is advisable to switch to that. There are certain things that are not in our hands. For example, stress on personal or professional front. In these cases you need stress busters like light walks, meditation or yoga therapy. Cardiac problems can happen at any stage of your life. Gone are the days when only sixty and above were expected to suffer a heart attack or cardiac arrest, now due to the hectic schedules and unhealthy food habit anyone of any age group can fall prey to it. So, eat light and healthy food, avoid lifts, walk for small distances, reduce caffeine, nicotine and alcohol intake, try to maintain a light mood and do some exercises every day. You can surely not avoid heart diseases by following them but possibilities of having one are reduced to a large extent.
